CSR Women Empowerment Event 2
MHD Moet Hennessy Diageo K.K. held a Women Empowerment Event online on Monday, November 9, 2020, as part of its CSR activities.
【Background】
Since 2017, MHD Moët Hennessy Diageo K.K. has continuously supported social contribution initiatives such as social gastronomy, art for the disabled, and disaster relief, and from 2020, with the aim of further empowering diversity, we launched our activities from the perspective of Women Leadership and Women Empowerment. Japan lags behind other countries in the Gender Gap Index, ranking 121st* out of 153 countries, and this is an activity that we should focus on even when compared with other countries in the Moët Hennessy Group.

【Outline of the event】
For the first session, we welcomed Miku Hirano, winner of the New Generation Award at the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Awards on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, to speak on the theme of "Women's Social Advancement: Changes in Family and Work due to Advances in Digitalization and AI (Artificial Intelligence)".
As the second part of the event, we welcomed Kanoko Oishi, another 2019 Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award winner, to talk about how the way we work and our mindset must diversify these days as we respond to the changing environment in both our business and personal lives.
She talked about Mediva's entrepreneurial story, and today's initiatives in the post/with corona environment, including how to make the most of women's leadership, as well as perspectives on a diverse society and workplace.
She emphasized that a workplace in which women can also play an active role is one in which everyone can work comfortably, not just by gender, and that we should be aware of the three principles of "respecting each other as individuals," "mutual respect" and "self-responsibility.
She also conveyed a strong and flexible message that people are not suited for each other, and that what you are good at is what you like, and that if you like it, you are suited for it, and that if you don't give up on it, you will get by.
This event is an online internal event for employees and staff (some of whom are employees of LVMH Group companies).
MHD Moët Hennessy Diageo K.K. will continue to focus on activities that support women's leadership and careers, gender equality and diversity inclusion for a sustainable future.
